On the exterior, the 2026 Sportage features a redesigned front fascia with a more upright and prominent grille, flanked by vertically oriented LED daytime running lights. This new design aligns the Sportage with Kia's latest aesthetic direction, presenting a more conventional yet modern look compared to its predecessor. 

Inside, the Sportage boasts a revamped dashboard that integrates a panoramic display, combining the digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen into a seamless unit. The introduction of a new steering wheel design and updated air vent placements further refine the cabin's aesthetic, while improved materials offer a more premium feel throughout.

It also comes equipped with Kia's latest infotainment system, featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Enhanced voice recognition and expanded connected services are included, alongside new safety features such as advanced driver attention monitoring, and an improved autonomous emergency braking with better pedestrian and cyclist detection.

Under the hood, the Sportage continues to offer multiple powertrain options. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 187 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. The hybrid variant features a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor, now producing a total of 231 horsepower--a slight increase from previous models. The plug-in hybrid version offers 268 horsepower, providing an efficient yet powerful driving experience.
